ORIGIN OF THE NAME "MEYLA"

The inspiration behind the name is twofold:
"Mela" is a Sanskrit word meaning 'gathering' or 'to meet' or a 'fair'. It is used in the Indian subcontinent for all sizes of gatherings and can be religious, commercial, cultural or sport-related. In rural traditions melas or village fairs were (and in some cases still are) of great importance. This led to their export around the world by south Asian diaspora communities wishing to bring something of that tradition to their new countries.
In recent times "Mela" also popularly refers to shows and exhibitions. It can be theme-based, promoting a particular culture, art or skill. Generally in "melas" people can find eateries, entertainment activities, shops and games.
The second inspiration to the name:
Eystein Meyla was elected a rival King of Norway during the Norwegian Civil War period.
His nickname "Møyla" means maiden, girl, cute woman.
His father was king of Norway from 1142 to 1157.
11x managed the project development, dubbed Project "Meya" from 2011 to today, to protect the trademark and process patents to do with the published name and concept.
On October 3, 2013, exactly ten years after the original award winning converged entertainment venue "o3" had opened, 11x announced the official name of the new venue and concept and launched this website.
The announcement of event and site locations are being progressively posted, however, at the time of writing, locations and Events in Kuala Lumpur, United States, and Australia are being rolled out and we are on the lookout for more venues globally.
Meyla is also a female name rapidly gaining popularity.
WHAT IS MEYLA?

With a board that has some of the worlds "best practice" Entertainment venue and Technology Logistics managers, the Meyla "all in one" concept offers a thrilling, immersive entertainment, dining, and gaming experience in the form of either festivals or fixed venues, and we're now in "build" phase, working with major stadiums and sites (both fixed and mobile) worldwide. These innovative interactive events and fixed venues for public enjoyment use the worlds latest, cutting edge technology. We cater for general audiences and family oriented events.
The best way to describe the Meyla project: Redefining the way in which the public socialises in light of todays new technology, especially when virtual social networking and face to face social networking are diverging and people are increasingly favouring the virtual world, which goes against human nature.
The Founder and Creator of the Game Changing concepts is none other than Australian technology pioneer, Anthony Chidiac.
see his wiki: http://maps.thefullwiki.org/Anthony_Chidiac
Anthony's teams innovation in Entertainment spans over 30 years, both as a performer and creator of entertainment environments based on new technology. In his early years, after wowing Michael Jackson with the first ever digital remix of "Can't Let her get away" on an ADAP (using an atari 1040ST). He evolved his experience in theme park and venue design by being an intern at Universal Studios on "Jurassic Park the ride", and then had an opportunity to consult at Warner Bros in Burbank on the rollout of digital storage of TV shows using proprietary software, a large array of RAM based storage and FAST's DVBK-1. The evolution of this technology led to launching the first DVD made in realtime at Bill Gates launch of Windows XP in Las Vegas, 2001.
Lately, he helped launch "This Is It" for Sony Pictures in Los Angeles as a Video DJ, as well as Michael Jackson albums for Sony Music worldwide and the Michael Jackson game for Ubisoft. He is the original innovator of digital interactivity and continues to push the boundaries of technology in social settings, and he is a Multiple Guinness World Record Holder.
The Meyla concept is based on his and his teams years of social and technology research.
While Chidiac has stepped down as the chairman of the board in Australia, he continues to be part of the groups expansion into Malaysia and Las Vegas/United States, and now concentrate on the face to face relations rather than the overall planning and direction of Meyla. This allows the group to grow much faster and continue to build on Anthony's "can do" attitude and amazing results for our clients.
Meyla is the "go live" phase of the original concept and today the technology for this concept is now affordable and reliable for a mass market experience. Our partners and venue partners are the most creative and innovative people in the world today.
